Wife on Fire Challenge {Week 4}: Support & Encouragement for Wives on Fire

Wow, I need to take a moment to express my gratitude for all of the Wives on Fire that have joined in on this year’s challenge. Thank you for being a participant in Country Wife Chronicles second annual Wife on Fire Challenge!

Regardless of if you’ve breezed through the past four weeks or if you’ve struggled to get each week’s task accomplished, you have made it to the end. You have reached the final week of the Wife on Fire Challenge!

However, just because this month-long challenge we’ve had going on over here at CWC is coming to an end, that doesn’t need to mean that its time for you to stop being a Wife on Fire. My hope is that the Wife on Fire Challenge inspires and encourages you all to reignite the flames in your marriages all year long, just until you need another dose of encouragement this time next year! 🙂

Being a Wife on Fire doesn’t have a season. It doesn’t have a start and stop button. It’s about choosing intentional marriage time and time again, day in and day out; no matter what time of year it is, no matter what you’ve got going on in your life.

Sometimes, it will feel easy to be a Wife on Fire for your marriage. You won’t struggle to be creative in making little efforts for your spouse. You won’t feel rushed for time; you’ll enjoy loving with intention.

Other times it will feel like a whole lot of work. You may be emotionally spent from something you are going through. You may have way too much on your plate in this season of your life. You may be struggling to prioritize your marriage and you just may feel like the spark is fading fast.

You can still be a Wife on Fire for your marriage. All it takes is a little fanning to get that spark blazing once again.

Today, in our final week of the Wife on Fire Challenge, I thought I’d send you off with a few of my favorite marriage resources. You can also browse around CWC if you are bored, because as you probably already know, I do like to talk an awful lot about intentional marriage over here.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

But before we get into those additional resources to support and encourage you until our next Wife on Fire Challenge, I have a super awesome announcement to make!

If you’ve been following CWC or any of our social sites, you already know that we’ve orchestrated a giveaway for this year’s Wife on Fire Challenge.

Support & Encouragement

So, this is it. It is the final week of the Wife on Fire Challenge; so let’s get back to those resources I was telling you about! Here are some of my favorites when it comes to building up and encouraging wives in this thing called marriage:

  • Unveiled Wife: Jennifer’s blog is all about encouraging wives daily in their faith and in their marriages. Jennifer is a fellow believer in intentional marriage and she has built a strong community of Christian wives around her blog and social media accounts. It’s a must-stop for extra encouragement in your Wife on Fire journey!
  • Flourishing Today: Alisa’s blog is about Biblical truths, growing your faith, encouragement and purpose. Flourishing Today was started to help women flourish in their faith walk. Her blog has several posts related to marriage from the Christian wife’s perspective.
  • Equipping Godly Women: Brittany writes articles on this Christian blog to encourage women in their faith, their marriage, and their parenting. She provides practical tips to encourage you in marriage, thought-provoking articles, and tons of great resources.
  • Fulfilling Your Vows: I have to admit, I just ran across this site as I was doing research for this blog post, but I instantly fell in love with it! The husband and wife team behind this blog are helping couples connect with God and with each other with their resources and articles. Swing by and check it out for yourself!
  • Focus on the Family: This global Christian ministry is dedicated to families and marriages. They offer tons of resources in the form of articles, books, conferences and more—all grounded in Biblical principles.

I’ve also shared some of my other favorite resources here:

Wife on Fire Challenge – Week 4 Intentional Effort

Before you head out today, we’ve got to finish off the Wife on Fire Challenge with one final intentional effort.

Here is your final Challenge…

Wife on Fire Challenge 2018 -- Week 4 Challenge

Let’s wrap up this year’s challenge by getting your hubby a just-because gift. No holiday, birthday, or special occasion necessary. Is there something he’s been eyeing, but putting off buying? Is there something you could get that would entertain him; maybe a ticket to a concert, game, or a movie? Show your hubby you were thinking about him with a small token of appreciation.

You certainly don’t need to break the bank with this one. Maybe just pick up his favorite candy bar at the grocery store. Or give him a coupon for a car wash. You know your man best, what little something would be a treat for him, and a way for you to show your affection?

Until Next Year…

Well, that about does it for the Wife on Fire Challenge. Thanks again for being a part of it this year!

You definitely don’t need me to give you weekly homework to keep your intentional efforts going in your marriage. It is your choice to remain a Wife on Fire.

What I do know is that we Wives on Fire need to stick together. We need to encourage one another and build each other up. Because this marriage thing is hard. Not every day is easy, not every day do we feel like being a Wife on Fire.

In all honesty, I really would love some feedback from those of you that have been participating in the Wife on Fire Challenge for the past four weeks. I mean, has the Challenge been worth it? Would you do another one in the future? How did you like the 4-week format? How do you think we could encourage others to participate in the future?

I really, really would love to hear from you. Would you please consider taking a minute of your time to leave a comment at the bottom of this page?

  1. I am excited to win this! I think we just need to keep spreading the word about the CWC blog and others will learn to love it, too!

    1. You are too sweet, Laura, and so very deserving of a prize from Country Wife Chronicles! I hope you enjoy The 5 Love Languages as much as I did! 🙂
